I begin with Psalm 111:1-3…Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is His work, and His righteousness endures forever.
I praise the Lord for all our small groups starting to meet!
I praise the Lord that nobody I am aware of in our church has the Corona Virus!
I praise the Lord for families from our past, connecting with us on live stream!
I praise the Lord for people who have been so kind and supportive of our church staff and their efforts to stay connected with our church family!
I praise the Lord for commerce opening!
I praise the Lord for the summer season approaching and our time to enjoy the outdoors!
I praise the Lord for Salem Evangelical Church!
I praise the Lord for the people of Salem Evangelical Church!
Praise the Lord!
We have at least two more Sundays of 25 being together at one time. We will let you know the moment we have news to share about adding to the 25 ceiling.
As small groups meet and as the ceiling is likely going to be raised at some point, please do not attend if you have any concerns at all about getting sick. We cannot guarantee you will not be exposed.
Please note this Sunday, May 31, is Pentecost Sunday and the following Sunday, June 7, we will take communion together once again in our homes.
I am beginning a new nine-week series you can read about once Josh posts it, that will begin June 7.
I am continuing the 6:30 “Words from Jesus” Bible study on Wednesday nights through the summer.
I am continuing the “Daily Devotional” at least through the month of June. As things begin to open, more and more options are available to people, the interest is likely to go down as it has been in recent weeks.
The Sunday morning services will continue to be live streamed even if we can fully reopen with no restrictions.
Each age level leader will visit with their audience, plans for live streams going forward.
I continue receiving questions about how many can attend and if S.E.C. is going to open the doors like some churches are saying they are planning to do, despite executive orders. Let me say it again, as the Senior Pastor of Salem Evangelical Church I always have, and will continue to follow the law, the executive orders, the rules and the regulations both in spirit and in letter.
Pentecost was birthed under Roman rule and Jewish persecution of “Followers of the Way.”
God was not restricted in birthing the Church under adverse conditions. God is not restricted, ever!
This Sunday, you can have a fantastic day with the Lord if you so choose to do so! In fact, you can have a fantastic “every day” with the Lord if you choose to do so!
Praise the Lord!
