SEC Update – August 7, 2020 –

VBS “Slime Week”

Pray! Pray! Pray! For God’s hand in this next week’s “Slime Week” (August 10-14) for grades K-5th at SEC.  God is on the move and desires for all to come to know Him.  If you know of a child who does not know Christ get them signed up for a great week of activities, skits, and the Word of God.  Carol Wright, our Children’s Ministry Director, will be leading an incredible cast of volunteers in a fun and exciting time of walking through the life of Jacob from 10:30-12 noon.  Even with social distancing practices in place, kids will experience slime, laughter till their sides hurt, and the ability to win prizes, but mostly be able to have their hearts changed for eternity.  You can sign up this Sunday at church or the day of, beginning Monday.  Let’s put the power of prayer into action as we reach our children for Christ.

Family Fun at the Beach

Kids on the Rock and SEC’s Men’s ministry are encouraging everyone to participate in “Family Fun at the Beach” on Saturday, August 22, at Fogarty Creek State Park located just north of Depoe Bay from 10-2pm.  This is an informal gathering for everyone to hang out and enjoy each-others company.  We will have a pop-up awning on the beach for a place to connect and get to know other people.  Hope to see you at the “Beach”

Sunday, August 9, Church Service

We continue to experience adjustments to how we do church with the changes and mandates by the governor’s office. We are still having the 9:15 am service with live streaming and a limited number of people being permitted to attend.  At this time, we are not doing RSVPs. Instead, we will try to accommodate those who are attending, while still meeting the Governors limitations.  When we meet the attendance limits, we will open overflow live streaming in the Activity Center.

Join Us for Small Groups “Classes”
